What is commissioning (startup)?
Commissioning is the set of works that brings an installed automation system into operation: PLC and SCADA configuration, testing of all operating modes, sensor calibration, integration with the infrastructure and documentation of the results.
How long does commissioning take?
Timelines depend on system complexity. A small facility (1–5 gates, basic SCADA) takes 2 to 5 working days. A large distributed facility (20+ gates, integration with a central dispatch point) takes 2 to 6 weeks. Deadlines are fixed in the contract.
Can commissioning be done without stopping production?
